Hello wonderful people from around the world. I’m Moyr, an audio engineer, who speacialises in audio mixing. Moyr Mix Hub is a platform that you can use to directly order online mixing and mastering.
If covid has taught us one thing (other than wash your hands and keep your distance), it’s that the world is now a little different than it was before.
More and more people are working from home, having virtual meetings via zoom, shopping online, banking online, even gigging online in some cases. Most things can be done online today and audio mixing is no different.
Dedicated mixing is a process that you shouldn’t overlook. It’s tricky, it’s technical, subjective and objective, requires the correct room, monitors and equipment and most of all relies on experience.
Get it right and and it can take a bland home recording in to the realms of professional sounding music. Get it wrong and will take an excellent studio recording and turn it in to a waste of money.

Why and who needs online mixing?
Producers
Producing your own music is a phenomenal skill. It takes a lot of time and effort, technical knowledge, musical knowledge, genre knowledge and experience. If you are a producer, be exactly that. Focus all your effort on becoming world class in that skill. Learn enough about mixing to produce a decent demo mix and then let a mix engineer do what they do best, to get the most out of your production. It’s the most professional route to success.
Studio Recordings
You may have done all your recordings at a studio and they do mixing, so why would you need online mixing?
Recording studios are designed for tracking (recording). Some of them have really good mix engineers, but a lot of them have general mix engineers and really good tracking engineers. In the commercial world, an artist would track at a studio and then send the project off to a mix engineer, who’s sole job is to focus on mixing. That way, they can be sure of the best possible outcome.
Home Recordings
With the advancement in technology, more and more people have their own home studios. There may be limitations on room acoustics and available equipment, but some very successful tracks have been recording in the same environments.
However, when it comes to combining all those recordings together in the final mix, a different set of skills, experience and equipment is required. A mix engineer will be able to identify any unwanted issues that the recording process has created, embellish them and turn them in to professional sounding tracks.
Live Shows
There are two ways to have audio recorded for a live show.
As a stereo mix from the front desk. The results doing it this way will be varied. They’re usually better, the bigger the gig, due to the position of the desk. This type of file needs mastering.
The other method is to record each instrument separately as a multi-track. This is the best way and will need mixing/mastering together and likely splitting in to separate songs or chapters.
Contact me for this type of mix as the pricing is different.
Film and TV
Film and TV covers many bases. It could be music mixing, speech or effects. I have a very solid back ground in video and sync’ing audio/video together is well within my capabilities.
Many times a mix for TV and film will be for a trailer or a piece of music for a trailer.
If you have a mix that needs doing for this, you can either contact me to discuss your project, or if it’s a straight forward music mix, you can order it via the site.
Voice Overs and Adverts
Voice overs may things like audio books, podcasts or narration to a video. These kind of projects generally need more of a mastering approach, than a mixing one, unless they’re separate files that need merging.
Adverts, could be online adverts or radio adverts that need a super high quality sound. Radio jingles would also fit in to this category.
The pricing of any of the above is difficult to set as a fixed price, but is certainly something that I would happily quote for you. So just contact me.
